Paglino

• This medication is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
• It is also indicated in patients with heart failure or chronic kidney disease, with or without type 2 diabetes, to reduce cardiovascular events and slow the progression of chronic kidney disease.

• The recommended dosage of Paglino is one tablet daily.
• Your doctor will determine the exact dose for you.

Warnings & Precautions

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Paglino if you:

• Have urinary problems or kidney disease
• Have liver disease
• Have type 1 diabetes
• Experience pain, redness, or swelling in the genital area or between the genitals and anus
• Have diarrhea, fever, or cannot eat or drink adequately
• Are older than 75 years
• Experience symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, hypothermia, bradycardia, respiratory distress, or muscle cramps

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

• If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medication.
• The use of Paglino during pregnancy is not recommended as its safety has not been fully established.
• It is not known whether empagliflozin passes into breast milk; therefore, Paglino should be avoided during breastfeeding.

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or may take any of the following while using Paglino:

• Insulin
• Sulfonylureas (e.g., glibenclamide, gliclazide)

Like all medicines, Paglino may cause side effects, although not everybody experiences them.

Side effect with 1-10% frequency:

• Nausea
• Dyslipidemia (abnormal blood lipids)
• Urinary tract infection
• Genitourinary fungal infection

If You Take More Paglino Than You Should
If you take more Paglino than prescribed, contact your doctor or the nearest hospital right away.

If You Forget to Take Paglino
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is close to your next dose, skip the missed dose and take only the next one.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Do not use Paglino if you:

• Are allergic to empagliflozin or any other ingredients in the product.

• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging (after “Exp. Date”); the expiry date refers to the last day of the indicated month.
• Store below 30°C, away from moisture and light.
• Keep the product in its original packaging until use.

• This product is available in cartons containing 30 tablets, packed in 2 blisters of 15 tablets each.
